They're Back, Dan Wesson Revolvers

Don't know if CZ simply obtained rights to the name or if they are indeed the same as the long discontinued Dan Wesson. Hopefully the return of the big bores are forthcoming. I lost a 357 years ago during my divorce. All I got was an expired pawn ticket. I've always coveted the rare DW in 45 Colt.

As I recall, many of the DW big bores suffered from timing problems.

I wasn't aware of that. I did hear from friends that were heavily involved in silhouette shooting. The D/W 44 Mag stood up to heavy hand loaded shooting better than other D/A revolvers. Both claimed the single action Ruger Super Blackhawk was the strongest and D/W second. Smith and Wesson 44's they claimed were the first to come loose. Both friends shot 265 gr cast slugs with powder charges exceeding published data.
