BBoyce
I remember reading somewhere that these required different bedding to adhere to the stock. I'm wanting to fill in the huge gap around the bottom metal. TIA Ben
roscoedoh
I used acra-gel when I bedded mine. I believe that any quality bedding compound will work. The things you need to watch out for are the mold release compound that ends up on the stock as part of the manufacturing process and plastic might be a little too slick to allow the bedding compound to properly adhere. As such, I used hot water and soap to wash the mold release off the stock, then followed up with denatured alcohol just be safe. I would have used acetone if I'd had any. I then scuffed up the area I wanted to bed with sandpaper and a dremel. It worked for me.
