Synthetic Stock

Recommended Posts

I got me a new rifle the other day. Its a Traditions "Buck Stalker" 50 cal muzzleloader. Nice rifle. Good sights, weight, etc. So I'm quite happy with it.

The stock on it, however, is plastic and hollow. I just want to fill the void so should something knock against it in the woods its a little quieter.

Whats the best material I should use to pack inside the stock?

Thanks.

Aerosol can of expanding foam insulation as a dampener for the drum effect. Adds no weight to speak of but dampens sound very well. Remove butt pad, fill withfoam, trim flush, reinstall butt pad.
