Rear Sight Removal

Is there a trick to sweating off the rear sight on a mauser. The front sight came off really easy. I held benomatic torch on it for 5 minuets. It didn't look like the heat was getting evenly distributed. Should I just keep the heat on it longer? Would it be best to use 2 torch's? Any help in this matter would be a big help.

Thanks Ralph

Move your torch aroud while heating and tap gently towards the muzzle while heating.

If you put too much heat in one spot the barrel will bend.
