ken98k
I'm sure life goes on. Same as here when is 50 below, It would be nice to just sit in front of the fire but stuff still needs to be done, so life goes on.
AzRednek
My home temp gauge hit 119, officially 118 today. I just can't believe the reported deaths today related to the heat. Mountain trail hikers and riding a bicycle on desert trails, simply stupid. Life does indeed go on but I spent my time today in air conditioning. I spent years stuffing mailboxes in this kind of heat. Had to eat and pay bills. Now that I'm retired, just no way I'm dealing with it if not necessary. AzRednek
Yep Being retired does have it advantages karl It does indeed!! I don't even like going outside until the sun goes down. I still get over these fools doing outdoor activities in the heat. When I worked in the heat I drank no less, often more than a quart of ice water every hour. These fools that are active in the heat with their 12 oz water bottles are simply stupid. During my working years I rescued several people by giving them water and calling 911. The heat makes their brain soft and they were often wandering on the street not knowing where they were going. I saw one 300lb+ lady leave her un air-conditioned car sitting idling at a red light then pass out as she walked into the middle of an intersection. Took three of us to carry her out of the street into shade. She was talking complete nonsense until paramedics arrived.
Dr.Hess
A Mormon woman, 29, died yesterday, I think in OK from heat stroke, doing some kind of Mormon reenactment.
