AzRednek
Now this is what to do in retirement! No kidding!! Those are the type of toys I wouldn't mind playing with. I wouldn't even want to speculate on the price tag though, especially the jet.

FC
I'd love to know what the SR-71 cost- I'll guess $60k.
AzRednek
Years ago I saw what a simple CB radio could do to remote controlled boats. Can you imagine having some radio interference and watching a $60,000 toy come crashing down or fly out of range. I'm no expert but I imagine it would have to run on a coded signal or something to keep unwanted radio signals from sending it the wrong message. Looks like fun though. FC
Maybe they have safeguards. I'd hate to see one of these crash into a crowd.
Dr.Hess
I think the modern stuff doesn't use 27MHz anymore. I usually don't watch the youtoobes as I don't have the bandwidth, but I did watch the SR71 vid. I kinda cheered when it landed. And that was 2 real jet engines, near as I can tell, not piston engines turning a fan. That's pretty amazing.
