I have two Spanish M43 LR mauser actions that I learned to tap and drill on. Read made mistakes on...
Long story short I had jig, and scope level, but I was/am still learning. The holes are not drilled into the lug seating faces, but they are not perfect either. Someone with the time and expertise can probably salvage them. Anyway I'll sell them dirt cheap if anyone wants them. I don't have a welder or the expertise to effect a repair. I can post pics of them if interested. Make an offer.
I'll throw the original barrels back on them so they can ship to a C&R.

Darin, I'm interested in those actions. I've sent you an e-mail.

Sorry for the delay, but work has been busy as of late. Pix as promised.
Here is Both actions side by side.

One on the left is a 195x La Caruna, one on right had the crest removed when purcahsed. The right one was worked on by someone else because it appears to have been reblued as well. The rear hole on the left one has a broken tap in it. I could not get it out.
Hear is the La Caruna Rear. This is where I screwed up not once, but twice. I put JB Weld in the holes. Was toying with the idea of trying to fix that way, but gave up in disgust with myself.

This is the rear bridge on the the right one. It is in good shape.
]
Next two shots hopefully show the hole and hole spacing does not take them into the lug face nor was it drilled into the inner lug rings.

Finally the one on the right is pretty rough on bottom, lots of pitting. The one on the left is in pretty good shape with only a few minor pits.
