Jimbo
I hope someone can help me. The 6.5 Jap Carcano-Arisaka Type I that my late father brought home from the Philippines after WWII is complete... EXCEPT for the front sight blade. It was missing when he picked it out. The dove-tailed base is there. I need the sight blade (and possibly the screw to hold it?). I have fired it in the past with Norma ammo, but of course, without a front sight, I can't tell about accuracy. Where can I find the part(s)? Thanks in advance. gun nutty
Riceone1 has always been full of knowledge on Japanese rifles, including restorations. His website is: http://riceone1.com/index.html There's also contact info for him as well. You may want to give him a holler.

And I'm still looking for this part.
