Could not resist it, a Rockola M-1 Carbine for $300.00. I previously had an Iver Johnson M-1 Carbine I traded away along with all my ammo. Fortunately I did not part with my brass. Now I will have to search for 110 30 cal FMJ's or pay a small fortune for live ammo. I also kept my bayonet but the M-1 does not have the lug. I'm debating to change it from its original configuration and adding the bayonet lug. Numrich has a parkarized bayonet lug but the chances of scoring one marked Rockola are slim.

THX Guys. Found some ammo locally. Good reloadable Federal 110 soft tip for $24.00 per box of 50. They had 4 boxes left and I grabbed 2 of them. At the same merchant, Sportsman's Warehouse I got their last box of 30 cal 100 gr Hornady bullets. Today the last day of Dove season I will be able to shoot it soon. Just to many hunters outside the city right now to find a safe place to shoot.

Locally ammo is still hard to find for anything but shotguns. So hopefully you will be able to find ammo.

I managed to find enough shotshells to get myself and family through Dove season. The Wally World cheapies didn't last long and they had a two hundred round limit. For my last day all I could find suitable for Dove were Federal high brass at nearly $12 per box. I bought two boxes and never got off more than a dozen shots scoring 4 birds. I really got po'd paying Wally's nearly 16 for a box of 25, 3/4 inch 410's for my Grandson but after the third stop I was happy to find some suitable for bird hunting. Wally's also had a 10 pack of 410's, 3 inch 7 1/2 shot for about the same price as the box of 25. Plenty of 410 for revolvers around but #8 shot was difficult to find.

The Wally 12 and 20ga cheapies with the 200 rd limit were close to 27 per 100rd box. Last year buyers had their choice of Federal, Winchester or Remington all at the same price of apx $21.00 with no limit. Last year's Dove and Quail loads were 1 1/4 ounce of shot 3 dram equivalent. This year Winchester brand only, 1 1/8 ounce of shot and 2 3/4 dram equivalent.

I haven't done the math yet this year. Previous years, when Dove season approaches the on sale price of 12 and 20 ga shot shells is considerably less costly than hand loading.
