  1. The Boy Scout place flags at the graves in the national cemeteries. Today I went with my grandson, Michael to assisted his pack. Afterwards we went to my dad's grave for my grandson to see were his great-grandfather was buried.
  2. Hey Tanglewood, I need to check out the 25-06 finish reamer and gauges. Message me for shipping info. Thanks Ralph

I just saw the interview with Baldwin. His actions and lack of knowledge caused the firearm to go off. You can't pull a hammer back and then take your thumb off of it while the spring is under tension. There shouldn't have been live ammunition on the set because that is just stupid. The hammer should have had the firing pin bobbed so that that way it couldn't have struck the primer but long and short him cocking hammer back is what caused the firing pin to strike the primer and cause of round to go off. Like the old saying goes knowledge is power and stupid hurts for days
  4. How about reinstalling the original screw, Locktite it in places. Very carefully Dermal/file it to the finished condition of barrel. This way you will have a perfect fit and match for blueing. Lots of detail work but the end result should be perfect.

He's a big anti 2A lib. He probably doesn't know how a firearm works. No knowledge equals no respect. Ralph
  6. I bought a DT fixture many years ago that had been shortened. It works fine, so I say do it.
  7. Hey guys, I've PMed Tanglewood a few times with no reply. I called the number I had for him, ending in x000, It wasn't working. He hasn't been on the site since July 7th. Anyone have a way to check and see if he's okay. I hope he's good but just kind of concerned.
  8. FC check your pay pal, I sent $50 last night.
  9. My employer ships world wide. We've been having problems getting cargo containers for over a year. Some shipments are being for up to a month. We need food grade containers, clean and oder free. It's amazing how jacked up some of containers are, holes and rust. This situation is really bad. The weather delays make things worse.
  10. I think I still have your PayPal info I'll send you a $50 here in the next day or so
  11. Just like in Vietnam "ARNVN rifles never fired and only dropped once" The soldiers didn't cave until their leaders did.
  12. I sold all com block stuff under Obozo. I thought it was just a matter of time before this would happen. I hated to let my CZ52 go but I didn't want to have a gun I couldn't get ammo for. I set up to reload 7.63x54r berden primers. It was a big pain and effort than it was worth.
  13. I've never gotten that deep into a conversion. The 6mm Rem is a very underrated round and IMO beats the 243. The only plus to the 243 is ammo and reloading components are easier to get. Based on the work you've done for me, I would say if anyone can do it you can.
  14. What a great state myself Mauser Man and Spec4 live in. Our 2nd amendment rights just got protection from a federal gun grab. Now by state law there will be fines against any law enforcement agency that tries to enforce any new federal law that is greater than the states. We have constitutional carry of concealed handguns. No waiting periods for firearm purchases. If you pass the FBI background check you can take it home that day. When it comes to hunting we have lots of wildlife and generous bag limits. There is plenty of public use land for hunting and fishing. Our tax rate is very reasonable and fuel is the cheapest in the country. If you're looking for a new home Missouri is worth considering.
  15. I had to re-read the article in Handloader magazine again. The parent cartridge for both is 7x57 Mauser. The 6.5 has a little more velocity with a 120gr. bullet in each. You get more variety with the 6.5 The BC and sectional density is also better. The 6.5 Creedmoor beats the 6.5x57. Ammo and reloading components are easier to get also. I'd buy (and have) the Creedmoor.
