According to their website, that will run my $85+shipping. i heard that boyds will cut your blank, also. i just got an email from them saying that in addition to the price of say a boyds JRS ($65)., add $100. my question is, is the inletting from Boyds superior enough to Richards to justify double the price? i was also give the name of Donnie Gemes at Show-Me Gunstocks in Warsaw, MO. anyone have experience with this stockmaker? i hear he is a former foreman from Fajen of old. i have a phone # and address, will probably give him a call to check whether or not he can do Yugos (and pricing). Not for that kind of money. Dennis Olson charges about $100 and his work is great. If Donnie was really at Fajen then I'd also consider him. They used to make a great product. 724wd Posted September 13, 2005 Author Report Share Posted September 13, 2005 sure i'm interested. i take the recommendation of people you guys have used AND ARE PLEASED with very seriously. i dont want my stock to end up junk (although, since it's me, anything is possible once i get my hands on it! ). you guys think that most guys will have inlets for a Yugo? Edit: if it helps, i have the original military stock, could possibly be used just for the action inlet and leave the blank a blank to be cut by hand. sonic1 Posted September 13, 2005 Report Share Posted September 13, 2005 boyds inletting is not any good at all...it may be better on a special order but i just got a mark #4 enfied stock thats got 1/4" gaps around one side on trigger guard. I forwarded a list of duplicators to FC who was kind enough to post it here for all to see. Roger Biesen is a nice guy. I was having a heck of a time finding a suitable buttplate. He sent me one with the understanding that if I didn't think it would work, I could return it. Jeffe is a decent guy, for a Texan, lol. He and I don;t see eye to eye on Charles Daly actions but I admire his tenacity in building a duplicator. And, his customers like the product so he can't be all bad. Wink, Wink. I think those of you local to him may enjoy the opportunity to shoot the brezze and other things with him. he arranged a swap meet at shilen barrels this fall. Only problem it would be like having a 4-wheel drive with a $10,000.00 paint job. I would be afraid to take the truck of road, same as using that rifle, I'd be afraid to use it.
