ken98k
I need to weld up the locking screw screw holes on a trigger guard. After welding I'm certain that I will need to redo the gaurd screw holes. My question is this- Which style counterbore do I need? I think the guard srews are technically a fillister head screw. Or should I get a counterbore for cap head (allen head) screws? Kenny
724wd
brownells sells a counterbore just for this. you might look at their website and see if you can determine which variety it is to aid you in finding one similar/cheaper.
donmarkey
I use the one Midway sells. The hss one, they also have one in carbide. But I like the finish hss gives compared to carbine. You can also get them straight from PTG. Don
ken98k
This is what I had in mind. http://www.use-enco.com/CGI/INSRIT?PMAKA=3...p;PARTPG=INLMK3 Or this, but the photo shows a tapered head. http://www.use-enco.com/CGI/INSRIT?PMAKA=3...p;PARTPG=INLMK3
Vladymere
I think you will find that if you go with a generic screw hole reamer that it leave a hole oversized to the screw heads. Get a tool made for Mausers from Brownell or Midway. Vlad

I got mine from a local supplier at one point. They are available but they are not a standard size.
