  1. Yes, there is one under "Jennings". Just a minimal "manual" but some information. Thanks for the tip !!!
  2. Good articles. Think I'll stay home the day my friend wants to shoot the "Bryco".
  3. A friend was given recently a "Bryco 38" (.380) semi-auto pistol. The gun has no slide release nor the ability for the slide to "lock back" after firing the last magazine round. Why were pistols designed in such a way ? Guess I'm used to the Colt .45s and their design
  4. Thank you for the information.
  5. What is the correct diameter bullet to use in this case and which diameters will work ?? Firearm is a 91/30.

    Twede Stock

    Appreciate the information.

    Twede Stock

Have KKale w/ 29" standard 6.5x55 military barrel. Thought I would get a decent stock for the gun rather than using the old, oil soaked Turk that adorns it now. First, is the KKale a "long" 98 action ?? Seems most "replacement" stocks are for "Long Action" 98's. How about some recommendations on a stock (B&C, Hogue, etc.) Thanks much and I enjoy the site.
  8. I've moved a couple of times in the past four years and I can't remember where I got these heads. They have a single lube groove with some type of blue lubricant. I do know I ordered them online.
  9. Loaded up some .357, 125gr jacketed heads in front of 7.5gr of Bullseye. After a hundred rounds, I looked at the gun and finally figured out it's the cast heads that cause 99% of the "dirt". I've never shot such fouling heads. Anyway, the gun was virtually "wipe it down" clean with minimal fouling. Think it's time to make the switch to all jacketed heads and "shoot less, but enjoy it more".
  10. Thanks for the replies. I've used W231, Unique, Titegroup and am currently using Bullseye which I find to be a pretty dirty powder. I was looking for a clean burning powder that also has some room for loading heavier bullets. I know a lot of people swear by W231 and Titegroup, but neither powder can reach military ball velocities with a 230gr FMJ. I see, on the Alliant website, that they claim Unique is now "cleaner burning". Might have to try some, again. MV - How clean burning was No7 for you ??
  11. Does anyone have experience with this powder in .357 or .45ACP ?? I'm looking for a clean burning powder to hole punch. TIA
  12. For the most part, you're right, but many revolvers, both S&W and Ruger, have cylinder throats that are TOO small and need to be opened up. Imagine trying to fire a .452 bullet out of a charger hole that is only .450 and a bore diameter of .452. The bullet would be swaged down to the cylinder throat diameter before entering the barrel. I read somewhere that the bullet should be .005 to .001 larger than the barrel groove diameter and the cylinder throats should be .0005 to .001 larger than the bullet. This is speaking of cast bullets. I believe the same article mentioned jacketed bullets could be up to .001 larger than the barrel groove with a correspondingly larger throat. I asked the question to see if any target shooters could verify this information and if they had any personal experience with the groove, throat, bullet diameter relationship. That's it for this week. Think it's time for some R&R. Have a great holiday !!!
  13. I'll have to ponder your answer for a couple of weeks !!! Sounds very complicated.
  14. Looks like I was a couple of ticks off on the rim measurement. I went back and got a .5635 on my Lapua cases.
  15. I'm not sure what you see in the picture, but my cases are full body diameter right down to the rim.
