ut1031
I just received my new Boyds trigger and it looks fairly easy, but just wanted to make sure i am doing this right. I have dremeled my stock to allow the trigger to fit, but need instructions as to removing the original military trigger. Thanks, Kelly
Spiris
Here's a link to disassembly of Turk mausers which will cover most 98 mausers. http://www.surplusrifle.com/mauserturkish/...embly/index.asp Spiris
odies dad
Pretty simple, squeeze the sear against the receiver and tap out the pin. There is a spring that may launch if you don't grab it. Save the pin to reinstall the new trigger. You will likely need to remove some metal from around the trigger opening in the guard as well as in the stock. Guest Guest
Be aware that some of these pins are tapered so you can pound on one side all you want to no avail sometimes. If such is the case, turn the action over and pound on the other side. Be sure to use the proper sized rod to tap this pin out.
