trobi
since they compatable with the 98,are they better to use for intermediate rounds(308) or doesn't it matter. are they all the same and you just have to open them up for the 30.06. does the 30.06 and the 6.5x06 have the same o.a.l. to were you have to enlarge the mag.box? Racepres
I am just finishing up a K.Kale in 30-06, With a little help from my friends [more than a little actually] . The K Kale Mag is apparently the same as [for instance] a 98-22, as the '06 length ctg has not been any problem. But .. as always, YMMV.. I have said it before, and will again, It seems to me that the shorter ctgs ['08, savage, etc.] have given me more fits w/ feeding , than going longer ['06] have. cold shot
Kingsman, I have several M98 Turks with small ring barrels. I rechambered one of them to a 8mm/06. When I use 180gr noslers or longer , I either had to recess the bullet deaper in the case or blow out the box. I opted to blow out the box as I also use 220gr Hornadays. How ever if I use 150's, Ihave no problem with C.O.L. Dave
donmarkey
Most turk 38 have the same mag box as most 98's, 1903 turk have a shorter mag box. They both have the same hole spacing. -Don
