FC
I was baptized in 1977 at 1st Baptist, New Braunfels. They had the wreck. Small world. I don't think I knew anyone except the youth group.
AzRednek
Back in the 70's a bus of Pentecostal passengers were lost in a flood on a washed out bridge just north of Phoenix. I didn't know any of the victims but did go to high school with a relative of one. There was plenty of speculation as it appeared nobody on the bus attempted to escape the bus and swim to safety. I was Baptized in a Baptist quickie ceremony. Had a shotgun wedding scheduled and the minister didn't recognize my Catholic baptism when I was an infant. AzRednek
Odd that the pastor did the baptism. Best I recollect, the minister, his wife, two church members and what really sticks out in my mind, the ice cold water.
FC
I only helped with one baptism. It was in the 20s outside, in a pool. That was painful! I never even got a Polarbear Plunge award!
