A couple years ago I was communicating with a member here locally that was looking for a 09 Argie. I recently cleared out my private messages and just can't recall whom it was. I believe he lived in north Scottsdale.

Found this being advertised locally. It appears to have been half-assed sported and the seller claims it was converted to 30/06. I had a converted 09 about 30 some years ago. Surprisingly it didn't shoot to bad. If any members recall Z1R he used to make reference to "minute of deer accuracy". The 09 I bought already converted to 06 defiantly shot with minute of deer accuracy. I could do reasonably well out to 200 yards shooting through the issue sights with my then 25 year old sharp eyesight. Can't believe that I traded it away years ago for a 91 Argie. The 91 was in near mint condition.

I have not heard back from the seller. I asked for his cash price and if it is German or Argie manufactured. I could be wrong, is so please let me know. I believe the Germans made the stainless or in the white receiver. My 09 carbine, Argie mfg has a blue receiver. If anybody locally is looking for a 09 project rifle and the seller's price is right. Might be worth the time to contact him.

A few minutes after posting here I finally got a response. Here it is below. I just can't take on another project but hate to see this one get away. If the seller is not to far away and I can be of any help to a long distance member, please let me know. I'll be in the hospital tomorrow morning and hopefully home no later than the day after.

Thanks for the response. Your offer sounds reasonable but I'd like to know if it is German or Argie manufactured before I make an offer. Apx which part of town or major cross streets are you located near? I'm near I-17 and Cactus Rd. THX in advance, Dave

I believe the forend has been shortened. The internal magazine does have the hinged bottom plate. In trade, I am hoping to get a good quality .22 rifle.

Is the 09 marked made in Germany or Argentina? Is the rifle complete or has the stock been altered or shortened? Do you have a cash price or is there anything in particular you're looking for in a trade?

Karl have you had any luck getting ahold of this guy?? He answers some email, disappears then runs the ad again. He's now advertising for trades, I've sent him 3 offers and he just doesn't respond. I've also agreed to pay his asking price and again, no response.
