Low Wall at Cabelas

Stainless steel, .45LC, palm rest. Looks Schuetzen style. One item, Buda, TX, cost about $900. I was tempted, believe you me. They also had a 1 of 1000 Winchester 1888, I think it was, $165,000! Get this, an old 38 Turk for about $300! They are nuts! Same price for a 98k.

Tony,I'd like to know where they get their prices from.A guy at work bought a .270,homemade Turk 38 for $300.00,and it's rougher than a wood haulers ass.I bought a Ranger Arms .270 bolt action for 575.00,and was offered $1,200.00 for it because it has a deep scratch on the left side, like a barbwire scratch. The Fort Worth store has a Pedersoli,.50 double barrel muzzle loader that weighs probably 18lbs. that I'd sure love to own,but I dang sure don't need it,at $695.00.I looked at an old 870 Remington Wingmaster, the small slide style, with a rifled barrel that needed wood refinishing and bluing.I couldn't make out the price at first, and then got out my reading glasses and thought they had gone bad on me.$500.00.My next big buy,if there is a next, will be a Pedersoli or Uberti Winchester.45/70 with a 30 or 32" barrel.Ty pointed me to a gun club west of Ft.Worth that does up to 1,000 yr. blackpowder shoots.Jerry

"Fly"....I have owned one of the Cabelas/Pedersoli highwall copys and it shot GREAT! I had an original 1885 Win. barrel sight with the ladder to replace the chicken poop sight that comes standard, but with a 485 Gr. Badger "Bore Rider" bullet from Roger Goffina at R&r bullets in Ft.Chadron Neb. and 63 grains of CTG grade GOEX powder that I-talyun copy shot 3-4 inch groups at 300 metres! I would have kept it but a friend wanted to get started in BP Silouhette so I sold it to him, (minus my original 1885 sight) The Pedersoli's have Lothar Walther barrels I'm told and you need only to ask the Mauser builders how good those shoot!

If you get any good info on the BP club let me know. I talked to a nearly deaf club member about a yr. ago about it. He told me he'd have someone get back with me, but nope, no one did. Maybe his hearing was that far gone.
