karlunity
Hey FC. With this Ebola business, it looks like you picked a good time to retire. karl
FC
Almost every day confirms it's time to retire.
karlunity
Being retired is not bad. If you have reasonable expectations. You get up when you want. Are free to say what you want. Get to hang out with your lady and read and now and again go to the range and you sir...have you own range.. look forward life is going to get very nice. karl
AzRednek
I was forced into an early retirement due to bad health. I despise it, I'm so bored at times looking for something I can do physically that doesn't cost money. Have to admit though, not waking up to an alarm clock is a real pleasure. karlunity
All I need is my own range and life would be perfect. The Hippy wants to to to buy a Prius...and a is looking to buy a farm to grow organic food. Gentlemen you can take the girl out of woodstock but you cannot take woodstock out of the girl. : )
Dr.Hess
Told ya, Karl, you should have checked out Arkansas. Get 10 acres out here. Your own shooting range and enough land for The Hippy to grow organic veggies. No shortage of other hippies for her to talk to either. FC
That's pretty funny. AZ, sorry to hear health issues has made it hard to do much. I'd go bonkers if I couldn't do any hobbies. Also, I hate not having money. I'm thinking of wandering around being a vacation bum for a bit after retirement from the Army, then probably get an informatics job. Remember that Dwight Yokem video, "I'm a Thousand Miles from Nowhere"? Now riding a train like that would be fun!
AzRednek
Karl I wonder if there are any of the hippie communes still around?? I inadvertently went by one in 1970. Wife #1 and I were 4-wheeling in a densely forested area in northern Az on an old mining road. I gave the horn a couple gentle taps, waived and the hippies ignored us. karlunity
The hippy said that most of the hippies became credit card hippies around 71 and the whole thing went sour in no time.
