FC
I couldn't get Taylor to answer email, so I called. I have an Uberti 1858 Remington revolver with a Taylor conversion cylinder. I was told I can fill up the .45 LC cases with black powder. Need to compress 1/16 inch.
AzRednek
Did they say if it is safe with smokeless powder. I saw somebody at the range a couple years ago shooting factory 45 Colt factory ammo in a conversion. I'm not sure of the manufacture but I did notice it was a steel frame. FC
You can shoot cowboy loads out of it. Meaning less than 650 fps, I think. I can't remember the Universal Clays load I used, but it was very light. Thanks Karl for the link. I've never seen an original antique conversion cylinder.
