Emerson
Hello, I'm new to this forum. I bought a firing pin assembly at a gun show to replace the firing pin on my Turkish Mauser but it doesn't fit. I tried taking the firing pin off of the assembly and tried to put it on the Turkish assembly but the Turkish cocking piece wouldn't twist on, then i noticed that the cocking piece that went with the firing pin had the hole cut horizontal instead of vertical like the Turk one had. So I was going to sell it on ebay but I don't know what it is. Does anybody know what it could be? The number on the safety was the only marking I could find on any of the parts. http://i1147.photobucket.com/albums/o548/williamsanders5/Auction%20Background%20Samples/DSC08755.jpg http://i1147.photobucket.com/albums/o548/williamsanders5/Auction%20Background%20Samples/DSC08739.jpg http://i1147.photobucket.com/albums/o548/williamsanders5/Auction%20Background%20Samples/DSC08747.jpg http://i1147.photobucket.com/albums/o548/williamsanders5/Auction%20Background%20Samples/DSC08750.jpg http://i1147.photobucket.com/albums/o548/williamsanders5/Auction%20Background%20Samples/DSC08753.jpg
odies dad
IIRC the Siamese mausers had the firing pin indexed 90 degrees off what a regular 98 pin was.

I did a little research and I think it must be Siamese unless there were any others like that.

Don Yeah I still could use a firing pin. It would be for a standard Turk. Would you trade a whole asssembly (The corresponding parts I showed in the pics except Turkish)? I really only need the firing pin but it might be nice to have spare of the other parts just in case something else wears out.
donmarkey
email sent. Either way, just swap or if all you need is the pin swap and some cash for the rest. Don
