Isis Encourages Attacks On Churches Christmas

I think that anyone that has a CCL should be carrying as often as they are legally allowed to while there are ISIS threats. Reminded of the police officers at the event in Texas who quickly stopped a terrorist event and the campus security officer who stopped a car/knife terrorist attack.

It is a shame that if I go to the post office, I am required to lock my pistol in the locked metal gun box that is steel cabled to my truck's seat frame. Similarly, there are state laws where I live the prohibit me from carrying at some other places (mostly schools). Also some shopping malls prohibit CCL in their malls.

While my CCL is not a commitment to protect anyone other than myself and those I care about, it does provide society with another line of defense. If I am staring into the windshield of a truck terrorist, I probably would not hesitate to put a few rounds into where the driver was as I got out of the way and got others out of the path. Not sure most concealed carry pistols would be able to stop a determined terrorist truck attack like in Berlin, but potentially you might give the police a blood trail to follow as they looked for the driver.

I think that certainly in the South, if the sand monkeys try to shoot up a Church, there's gonna be dead sand monkeys. A friend of mine open carries everywhere. Got detained at the entrance to a Walmart by a greeter or other associate freaking out. He told her "Call your manager." She called the manager: "There's a guy with a gun on his hip walking in!!!" The manager said "So?" Anyway, I am quite sure that if the sand monkeys try to shoot up his Church, bad things will happen to the sand monkeys.

Years ago as an employee of the USPS I challenged their no gun policy. The Postmaster General decided decided to end all postal massacres by enacting a no guns policy. The same PM General that rarely appeared in public with no less than four armed Postal Inspectors and the rumor mill claimed he also used inspectors to guard his family and home.

Myself an elected officer of the union attempted to file a grievance. My grievance was denied based on an archaic law that prohibits Class 3 weapons, fireworks and explosives on federal property. The answer I got to the grievance and from a doofus Postal Inspector said my handgun is a destructive device.

I got no help from the hard core lib upper echelon of the union and was more or less ordered to drop it. Knowing my rights I filed the grievance on my own and told the union if they blocked me I would go to the labor board and file charges. In my grievance I asked for times three loss of any property and some ridiculous numbers for loss of life and limb in my commute to and from the workplace. I spiced it up with silly demands for armed security, kelvar vests and some other stupid BS to get their attention.

At the time and it may have changed, so don't push your luck. Federal law said something to the effect. Firearms can be on federal property for hunting or other lawful purposes then went into some regulations about properly posting firearms prohibitions on entrances. I told a dip-shxx jerk-off inspector with a hard core Brooklyn accent. Self protection is a lawful purpose and if you intend to only post my work facility. I would file a discrimination grievance and EEO complaint based on my Hispanic heritage. I was bluffing about the heritage, had a relative born in Madrid but she may have been of French decent. I was only asking to keep a gun in my locked car, not in the workplace or on duty.

Surprisingly I had the support of lower and mid level mgmt. Being a union rep, I was as much as a target as managers if somebody whacked out and decided to shoot up the place. A few years prior I had personally tackled an employee in the parking lot determined to walk in with a holstered S/A Ruger 357 cocked over a live round. After disarming him and taking him to a hospital. I twisted the arm of an RN to claim to be his wife and call in sick for him. I knew the threat was real and the Post Office at the time was spending mega bucks for security and carving out walls building emergency exits for managers.

I intended to peruse my grievance to Washington DC but was offered and took an under the table off the record agreement. I was allowed to keep a gun in my locked car but would be immediately terminated if I carried it inside. I demanded and got a hand written letter from my manager basically giving me the ok.

To the best of my knowledge and I'm not a lawyer and could be dead wrong. Congress would have to add regs prohibiting firearms on federal property. The previous regs regarding Class 3 and explosives on fed property were part of the National Firearms Act of 1934. The Post Office can prohibit anybody on USPS property and the alternative is spending six figures in federal court to reverse it. At least here in Phoenix. Local police have sided with the PO demanding somebody leave the USPS premises that is armed.

Sorry guys!! Caught myself rambling away on the keyboard again. Back on the subject of weapons in the church. As a young teen my Catechism teacher, a FBI agent and Priest. Told me it was a sin bringing my pocket knife and I better say something next time I was in Confession.

Like I've said, you've lived a life or two! Tell me about what the labor board is? Union? State?

You got the guy off the hook with the loaded and cocked gun? Why?

Silly what that priest said. A lot of them make up sins as they go along.

The National Labor Relations Board (NRLB) is the enforcement arm of the Secretary of Labor. Their job is to enforce labor law which over the years has passed to other agencies such as OSHA, Wage and Hour Commission, EEO etc. Depending on whom is in the White House the NRLB is either pro labor or business. The NRLB is an ace in the hole for a union member or non union member covered under the same contract not being properly represented by their union. Local union leaders avoid labor board complaints as the complaint goes to the national headquaters and gives them a black mark affecting their upward mobility..

First of all it was my job as a union rep to save his job. He had deep emotional problems. He was being subjected to daily harassment by mgmt. He was the type of employee that buckled to the pressure to do more and more. There were times he did the work of two and rather than receiving a well deserved attaboy. It was remarks like what took you so long. No exaggeration he would run up driveways and front yards and generated numerous complaints for speeding. After an investigation by the USPS medical center following an injury from running. Some managers were disciplined but they continued to put the pressure on him. He feared losing his job.

What led to his acting out was his wife's drug problem and finances. A few days before the incident his wife went to the laundromat and did not return. He was left the following morning to take care of four kids he couldn't send to school without clothes. All the kids had were pajamas. Two days later a car pulled into his front yard and pushed his naked wife out and took off. Paramedics took her to hospital for a drug overdose.

After I learned of the incident I tried to get the guy into some kind of mental health treatment. He was constantly tearing up and crying. All his garbage HMO would do until he could get an appt weeks away. Referred him to the County Hospital's suicide prevention clinic. I was told he sat in waiting room for hours crying like a baby.

A few weeks after the gun incident. He was in the process for being disciplined by USPS mgmt for absenteeism and tardiness he resigned. I wasn't there but heard he had some choice words for his black supervisor on the way out. He later abandoned his family, disappeared for several weeks and showed up in Alaska. I saw him a few years later riding with a motorcycle gang. I asked him about Alaska and all he said "went fishing" and turned his back to me.

Silly what that priest said. A lot of them make up sins as they go along.

We all looked up to our Catechism instructor, everybody thought he was cool being a FBI Agent. The previous weekend before the knife three of us were caught looking at a Playboy magazine. In a fatherly way he offered to take us after class to talk about the bird and bees but we chickened out. I was showing of a POS but mean looking long pocketknife I won at the State Fair. Blade did not lock and with wrist action I simulated a switch blade. I was 12 or 13 and showing off during break for a girl I had a crush on.

A year or so later I was downtown for the annual Rodeo Day Parade and ran into him. He was dressed like a skid row wino carrying a bottle of wine. I was shocked by his appearance as he was always in a suit and tie in Catechism. I said something like "Mr Oboyle what happened to you". He very sternly said "get out of here kid leave me alone". A few days later he showed up at my house to apologize. I wasn't there but he spoke to my mother. He was part of a crew protecting the then presidential candidate Barry Goldwater that was riding horseback in the parade.

Thank goodness he wasn't a boozer! Very sad to hear about that guy. I wish there'd been a better outcome for him and his kids.

His wife turned into a 300 pound + welfare mama living in govt housing. His motorcycle gang, the Monguls got into a shoot out with Hell's Angels in a Laughton Nevada casino. His name wasn't in the paper either as a victim or being arrested don't know if he was involved. I suspected he was doing speed as well constantly running non stop like he did. He would talk 100 MPH in the morning, lost a lot of weight and was always broke. Found out later he wasn't a citizen, a French Canadian and lied about it on his application. My guess mgmt found out and was holding it over his head to get him to run the way he did.
