I remember seeing similar before. I'm betting Geneva Convention violations, or "combatants" who didn't fall under Convention guidelines.

If you look at about 1:23, the guy looks like the condemned on the far right of your first picture. The guy at 1:31 (in the glasses) is definitely the guy in the center of the photo.

 

Germans donning American uniforms were captured an executed. At one time, our enemies wearing our uniforms was a bad thing.

OK, I can see that. One of those Battle of the Bulge links has the same pic or event in it. That was just from a time when we had balls, guts and fixed things. Today we just feel really bad and make sure we have empathy with whoever we are trying to kill, then just drone them. After we arm and organize them in the first place. Different times.
