Question

i was poking around a shop and came across a 6.5 with a mannlicher style stock. not in working condition, and i am VERY interested in this rifle. there was a $$ amount on it and not sure what it is really worth. any ideas? seemed a little high for a non-working rifle. bolt opens and closes. barrel looks clean in and out. safety does not operate. i am thinking that might be part of the problem. any info would be appreciated and welcomed. THANKS JeffTurk

More specifics?

How much?

Which TYPE Arisaka? The lower the TYPE # the more value, generally speaking.

A general idea of what parts will be required to make it fly?

Sorry but your request is very vague. A few pics would be very helpfull in evaluating value and condition.

Locking the bolt up like you described seems to be common. I have no idea how it is done as I have tried and can't hang one up. Someone probably tried to let the firing pin down like you do a Mauser and it just won't work. riceone.
