Jimro EDIT: can't seem to get the pictures to show up, don't know if the file size is too large or what the problem is. Maybe blogger doesn't like being used as an image host service. dirtyjim
nice pair of rifles. it looks like the scope on the top rifle should be on the bottom rifle & vice versa
z1r
Schweeet! Have you shot the 9.3x62 yet? That's a no-nonsense stock on the 9.3, gonna get it checkered? I like your blog!
Jimro
z1r, Checkering is something that I'll have done in the future, or learn to do myself, not sure yet. The stock really is no nonsense, but it shoulders very well. Still haven't shot it because neither the local Cabela's or Sportsman's Warehouse had any 9.3x62 in stock. I've been making a list of stuff to buy from midwayusa.com so some Prvi Partizan and reloading dies will be in that order. You did great work on the metal, the final cost for the rifle is on par with a CZ 550 in 9.3x62, but this one just fits and balances better, has the back up irons I want. Can't put a price tag on that. dirtyjim, I would have loved to get an original or quality repro AJAX scope for the imitation sniper Turk, but I already had the IOR from another rifle. I originally had my Savage set up "European" style with the fixed 6x scope. I ended up going to a Bushnell 3200 Elite 10x40 mildot for the Savage. You can see the savage (before I painted it) here http://randomthoughtsandguns.blogspot.com/...-tinkering.html A post about the final paint job will probably be up in the next few weeks. One of these days I'll figure out how to get photos linked from blogger. Jimro
Bob58
I agree with z1r - really like that first stock. What type is it?
z1r
I agree with z1r - really like that first stock. What type is it? Yeah, I'm glad you chimed in, I did want to be misunderstood. I meant it is a good working stock of good design. I really like the dark wood. With that long barrel it will get some good velocity and not be far behind the 9.3x64. the 9.3x62 is one of my favorite cartridges. It and the .338-06.
