  1. Thanks AzRednek, I did place a post on the Castboolits link. Thanks again, Mike
  2. Thanks AzRednek, I looked at the link. These molds look like what I need. I'll look at the Lee handles also. Thanks again, Mike
  3. Can anyone recommend a .224 and .264 cast mold? I need something close to 55 grains. I would like to use these in a 222, 223, 22-250 and 6.5x55 (140 - 160 grain). I don't think Lee makes molds for these calibers. Any suggestions appreciated. Mike
  4. Finally got around to building a 22-250 on an 98 action. Took the rifle to the range today to shoot five round groups to find a good load. After shooting the first group, I got to wondering if I should clean the barrel before shooting the next group of five. I did not clean between the five groups and the best I could get was 7/8 inch at 100 yards. I need to bed the stock and get a good trigger before I go any further. Finally, my question is this; How often do you clean your barrel when trying to develop a load? Thanks, Mike
  5. I have a Lee 160 grain 309 cast round nose bullet mold and was wondering if anyone uses a round nose cast bullet in a Wind 94? I didn't want to buy another mold.
  6. I'll give the screws a try. I was planning on using the NODAK SPUD LLC (NDS-65) reeciver. Thanks for your reply. Mike
  7. Anyone out there built a AMD65 using screws? I don't have a press to remove the barrel so I drilled out the rivets in the trunion. I was planning to tap the holes and use screws to attach the receiver. Anyone have any suggestions or comments on using scews. Mike
  8. Thanks for the replies. After alittle research I purchased a Tantal from Atlantic Arms. I've had the rifle to the range a couple of times, learning the weapon and sighting in. Even with my old eyes I can still hit water bottles at a 100 yards and thats good enough for me. I'm very pleased with the rifle and would recommend it to anyone wanting a accurate and fun rifle. Mike
  9. Sorry THOR, I don't have anything for the Texan press. I do go to yard sales and flee markets and sometime see different presses. I'll keep you in mind and contact you if I find anything. Mike
  10. Thanks to everyone who replied.
  11. I have everything I need to build a 22-250 using a 98 Mauser action but seems like I read awhile back that they may be problems with the magazine. If so what do I do about that and will I have other problems with the 22-250 round?
