Mosin 45-70 ?

has anyone on this fourm done a 45-70 conversion on a mosin nagant ??
if so was it harder than any other barrel swap and was there anything done too the bolt

Should work as a single shot. You'd need to open the bolt face to .608". Someone posted pics of one a while ago; it looked really nice. To get the rounds to fit in the magazine, you'll have to remove the entire feed ramp area.

I built one.
Single shot.
Typical 91/30 extractor relief extra work, but it is less work than the breech work on a Sav99.
