Try Taurus, they have a 1-800 # but I could tell a real horror story about trying to order a rear sight for another model. Taurus finally got it right on the 4th attempt. I had to send them pictures. The people answering the phones are not gun people and may have trouble understanding what it is you need if you don't have the correct word or phrase Taurus uses to describe the part. I needed the entire rear sight assembly, late production uses a metal block with a plastic piece that screws into the block. Despite my description they just kept sending the plastic insert. When I did get the right part finally and Taurus charged something ridiculous like 7 or 8 bucks additional for a tiny Allen headed screw. After going up the chain of command on the phone, finally getting a person with some real knowledge of guns he took care of the credit and charged me a nickel.

I don't know your friend but in the past I've had problems ordering parts for friends. If it is not exactly perfect or to their liking, guess who is expected to fix the problem. Best bet is to locate it and let your bud order it in case anything gets fouled up.
