  1. Hey Bob.the .308 would not chamber in the 7.7 Hope that helps
  2. Hey Bob I've got some .308 cartridges and I will try to chamber them in my 7.7 tommorrow and will let you know
  3. depends on if you want to save the barrels or not.On my 99 I had a sewerpipe barrel that I did'nt want to keep anyway,if you have the Midway type barrel vise with wood blocks you can make a pair of blocks to fit the receiver and put the receiver in the barrel vise and use a pipe wrench on the barrels

    Your Opinion

    definately pitted
  5. I do'nt know what happened on that other post.Your best bet would be to call them and ask them,I have'nt used one of their stocks on one of the 6.5's I used one for my 7.7 and really liked it
  6. Richards has listed the model 25 and the model 31.Wiser men will prevail, but if I'm not mistaken the model 25 is the one that should fit yours, the model 31 is for the type99 in 7.7
  7. I do'nt know a whole lot about them but I do know the bolts will not interchange.I like the Arisakas,If I knew where the crate of them were for $9 I would buy them all.
  8. Mike, please explain why this would damage the receiver.I'm not trying to be a wiseass I have seen and heard about your work and hold nothing but 1oo% respect for your craftmanship,I only would like to know since I am very inexperienced in this area and would like to know for the future.I personally have done this a couple times on these receivers and actually I do'nt cycle the bolt but if it just drags a little I put lapping compound on the guide and just push the bolt in and out a few times and it seems to polish the raceway to allow tthe bolt to not drag anymore.
  9. have you tried cycling it with some lapping compound?
  10. put some pics up when you do,I do alot of mausers but have a fondness for the japs too
