03 Springfield Hinged Mag Assembly On Ebay

I know Quick Karl and another board member expressed interest in the one I sold on Ebay with a stock. This one the seller claims like new, never used is sitting at $28.00 with 4 days to go. The one I sold with a nice stock fetched 225.

I can't see sporting a Springfield but if somebody has one that has been D&T'd or anything else causing it to lose its value as a collectable. Possibly this mag assy will go cheap. Before I sold mine. I searched all over the net and could not find anybody still making them for Springfields. Did find a link to somebody that claimed he could alter a commercial Mauser hinged assy to fit a Springfield but if I remember right he was asking about 400 and I think about 200 if the buyer supplied the assembly.

The price is very good if it is what he said that it was...I have not seen a price like that for a hinged Springfield or Mauser of 1917 Enfield in 30 years.

I've only seen one hinged assy in a 1917 Enfield and it was 20+ years ago. Today it would probably go for some major bucks.

That particular trigger guard is for the PH rifle built 98 Mauser action. It is clearly marked 98/124

You're absolutely right. I went and took another look and saw the 98/124. Chances are good somebody will advise the seller.. Even if it is for a Mauser and it goes for under 50 bucks it is a bargain. Last time I looked for a Mauser hinged assy at Midway a few years ago, It was over $200. I'm tempted to bid on it it but I sure as heck don't need another project. My guess like most hard to find items on Ebay. The price will skyrocket the last hour.
