King Of Mouse Fart Loads

Recommended Posts

I now have the king of mouse fart loads- my FF Goex- loaded .38 S&W in my S&W Model 4. I now know what Doc was digging out of Newly and Festus, because at 376 fps, this bullet isn't going through a human! The group was as accurate as me, and fairly fun to shoot, but this is not your gee-golly, you should see this! Maybe I'll keep it in the garage or camper. If you'll recall, initially I loaded this with Universal Clays, had about 480 fps, then got hasty and blew parts loose at about 820 fps. I sent it in to a S&W guy to repair. I shot into green pine that I cut down a few weeks ago.

LOL I don't know about the King part.

I shoot a very old raggedy IJ in 32S&W.

about 3 grains of Bullseye, under a .312 buckshot ball, pushed in with my thumb.

Don't think it will penetrate a pizza box!!!!

One of my very first carry guns was a F&W (not S&W) top break. I believe it was caliber marked 38 Police but the 38 S&W chambered and shot perfectly. Lucky to hit the broadside of a barn door past 10 yards through its very pitted bore. The ejector broke after shooting handloads I bought at a gun show. It bounced off the fender of a late 40's car abandoned in the desert.

I thought about the .32 after posting. With black powder it would be roughly equal to a crossbow.

If I were somehow forced to choose. Think I'd rather be shot with a 32 than a crossbow.

The crossbow was ordered outlawed by a medieval pope and supposedly not permitted during the Crusades. Ben Franklin recommended crossbows be used in the Revolutionary War claiming they were superior to the musket for the hit and run tactics of the early militias. I've heard from various places cross bows were used by the Viet Cong. A Nam vet told me he saw a CIA agent with a crossbow. Crossbows are a silent deadly killer. More accurate than a handgun past 25 or so yards.
