The only way to slow it down in my mind are more honest people packing. Wont stop the nut jobs or religious fanatics from attacking soft targets such as schools or churches. The best we can hope for from armed citizens is keeping the body count low. The cowards would likely turn and run at the first sound of return gun fire.
