Track Of The Wolf- Not Recommended

I like to support companies that sell muzzleloading supplies, but I can't recommend Track of the Wolf. I was urged by mail and email to buy their catalog for $10, with full size images. I have had the catalog about one month. I went online to order flints, listed for $1.20 in the catalog. The price online is $1.60 each, 33% higher than advertised in the catalog. The response to my query was that the value of the dollar fluctuates to the pound- by 33%? I spent a lot of time trying to find a mainspring for my flintlock pistol. I was overjoyed when I found the right spring for my Tower reproduction, which was the Harpers Ferry pistol spring. I got a spring, but it was not the spring I ordered. I looked at page 108 and noted two locks on the page, but one mainspring item number. I contacted Track of the Wolf. Well, their supplier changed the spring, and I, on my nickle, can return the spring. Well gee, my new catalog, once again is useless! I was referred to a flintlock specialist, said to be a busy man. It took him weeks to respond to my email, and I'm still waiting on my specific request on a second email to him, two weeks later. I give up on them.

I have used Pecitonica Long rifle and had good luck with them in the past. I havent got replacement parts but I have built a couple of rifles with their parts and they have good stuff and reasonably priced. Thanks for the heads up on TOTW though!

Welcome to the board, Canuck.  I've got kin in the Great White North.  Haven't been up there in decades, but they're still there.

Sucks that you got, more or less, ripped off by those people.  I like to help the little guy in businesses, but these are the things that tend to occasionally happen when you do, versus going with the big players like Gun Parts Corp.
