FC
Obama said no boots on the ground in Iraq. Yeah well!
karlunity
I understand that he just sent two companies of marines. I guess he changed his mind. karl
Dr.Hess
If you like your boots on the ground, you can keep your boots on the ground. No boots on the ground, except Special Forces boots. And Marine boots, maybe. Or maybe Army boots, or Air Force boots. But other than that, No Boots on the Ground.
karlunity
Holding a position is not an SF type mission. They can do it but it is not their thing. That is an infantry job. Grunts for that. Marines or Army. Of course i would prefer Marines. Knowing the record of DC...I am sure the army or Marine Corps has their own back up plans on line... Trusting the pols to watch your back is not a good or smart thing. karl

Dr.Hess
And this is Ron Paul's take: http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2014-06-17/ron-paul-asks-havent-we-already-done-enough-damage-iraq You can see why he wasn't elected.
karlunity
I supported that invasion at the time as I was still enraged over 9/11. As it turned out I was wrong as well. Karl
