z1r
Here's a nice little mexican 1910 that I just finshed up fro a customer. Sweet little rifle. He's putting an octagonal barrel on it.

lemski4
Is that an Ed LaPour 3 position safety?
ken98k
Looks like a 1936 cocking piece. A short while ago I got a complete 1910 bolt from GPC that had a standard type cocking piece and shroud. Or did I get screwed?
donmarkey
How about a couple close ups of the rear tang? -Don
Clemson
That looks great, Mike. I would love to find a 1910. Clemson

z1r
Have I seen that action on AR before? You mean this one? Yup. The goofey handle that was originally attached would have required super dooper high rings. I felt bad for him when he first posted pics so I PM'd him asking if he'd checked his clearnace before commissioning a $4000 stock for the thing. Two days later he emailed me back asking how quickly I could replace the handle and properly fit the safety. Now it's off to the stockmaker. It'll be a sweet rifle. It is currently in 7x57 but, the barrel was heavier than he'd anticipated (Octagons usually are) so he may get it rebored to 9.3x57 once the stock is finished and he can try the balance firsthand. Kenny, It's a 1910 action with a 1936 bolt which of course includes the sprigfield type cocking piece. Don, The rear tang is unaltered. Is there anything in particular you want a shot of before I send it off to the stockmaker?

donmarkey
Where do you find Blackburn magazines Mike? That is quite nice. Vlad Ted Blackburn owns CNC Specialities in Utah. Lead time is usually around 2 years though and the run about $300. I've dealt with him and it wasn't a pleasant experience. -Don

z1r
Yeah, Ted has had problems meeting his delivery schedules. When I got my bottom metal for my 8x68s I was lucky and it was on the shelf. My customer only came by this because Jim Wisner was unloading his "junk". I hear that Sunny Hill is now selling Mexican bottom metal. They're a little steeper than Blackburn's units but, they also exist in the here and now, lol.
