AzRednek Posted August 21, 2015 Report Share Posted August 21, 2015 I've watched a few re-runs recently of the early 50's Roy Rogers Show. It comes on at 3:00AM and I've recorded the last 10 shows. I literally idolized that show as a kid. I can even remember having Roy Rogers and Dale Evans coloring books and one of the first books I completed as a kid was titled Roy Rogers and the Brasada Bandits. Now I watch the show and can't believe how corny it is especially the careless handling and shooting of guns. Roy wearing two guns, having his pants tucked into his boots and the bad guys are always knocked out cold after being slugged by Roy. Show I watched today, according to guide originally aired Dec 1951. It ended by Dale shooting from the hip, a cigar out of Pat Brady's mouth while he sat in Nellybelle his infamous Jeep.
