keninnmi
Don, Beautiful work! It occurs to me that you have the skills and equipment required to shorten a M98, if you were so inclined... Ken

dirtyjim
looks good don. it's similar to the one i did. have you thought about putting a threaded bushing in the action screw hole & welding up the top. for some reason i've always thought an extened tang makes the hole for the rear action screw stand out
911rat
I really like the way that looks. I think it gives it a really unique look.
montea6b
I just finished this extension. It serves no real purpose but the guy I did it for likes them. Don It could serve a purpose... check this out: Mauser tang sight Pretty cool I think. By the way Don, that looks real nice! Please post more photos once fully inlet and that beautiful stick of wood is finished. P.S. I wonder how one would adjust elevation on a sight like that? z1r
P.S. I wonder how one would adjust elevation on a sight like that? Set Front sight height accordingly.

dirtyjim
P.S. I wonder how one would adjust elevation on a sight like that? actually some of them do have a small amount of windage & elevation adjustment. they way mine is built it has two small dovetails that can be used to adjust the sight. you can see them from the back of the sight. dirtyjim
kenny, its just a small ring 98 guild rifle not a type m. 9x57, ribbed barrel, dst & claw mounts. i'm going to try making a set of rings for it one day. it has a piece of wood missing on the right side of the stock at the front ring. right side left side closer view of action
