  1. Most of the 7.62 flash hiders I see say thy are 5/8-24. Maybe I am wording it wrong? http://www.inoxarms.com/products/a2-bird-cage-flash-hider-7-62-308-threaded-5-8x24
  2. I have a previously sporterized M94 carbine and I plan on threading the barrel for a flash hider. The barrel diameter is 19/32. Is this enough to thread for a 5/8-24 birdcage or is there not enough"meat" for the 5/8 threads? I also have a hk94 flash hider that I believe is 15mm but I would have to cut the back off of it and I prefer the birdcage.
  3. Thanks folks! I will start working on it when funds come in to get it re-crowned and go from there.
  4. I acquired a 1903 Carl Gustaf M94 carbine in a trade. All the numbers match, barrel, bolt, magazine plate, safety and firing pin. The metal looks to be in great shape, good bluing, no rust at all and no holes drilled. Unfortunately it was put into a hunting stock and of all things the person scratched his initials on the barrel's first step just beyond the receivers ring. My goal in the trade was to build a scout rifle and I have no interest in restoring the Mauser but I don't want to ruin any possibility of someone restoring it in the future. So what say you folks? Could this rifle be enough of an interest for a collector or is it degraded enough to go ahead and sporterize it?
