  1. He has already release his info bomb, and an army private is going to spend the rest of his life in prison because of it. You can go to his site and read it for yourself, there is some interesting stuff on there. I think everyone should watch the airstrike video and read the story behind it. It's disturbing to see what our soldiers are really doing over there, this one just happened to get out.
  2. Care to give an example of the sort of bad information?
  3. Usually when someone says they have damning evidence on someone and doesn't release it, it's a good sign that they do not have anything. Sorta like ol' Nancy saying she had something on Gingrich, and nothing ever coming of it.
  4. What are some good books on mauser sporterizing? I am particularly interesting in magnum conversion, squeezing ever little bit of length out of a military mauser action. I know some filing can me done on the back of the action below the bridge, a little bit off the bolt stop, and some more off the feed ramp, but I don't know the specifics.
  5. Interesting, so if the case has a diameter of D at the base and a diameter of F at the shoulder the formula would look something like D+D*cos(30) for the back of the magazine and F+F*cos(30) for the shoulder. From that the equation for the front would be front=F'-x*(F'-D')/L with F' being the width and the back of the magazine, D' being the width at the shoulder, x being COL and L being the length from the shoulder to the base. Oh and add .003 to final dimensions. What is a NOS trigger guard? And how much?
  6. I prefer a balanced budget (Clinton), Bush started the longest war(s) in US history, DOUBLED the national debt (even if Obama wins a second term he won't do that). The UN inspectors had JUST left Iraq when we attacked, they found no definitive evidence of WMDs. We can't just attack everyone who we say is doing something bad when we have no evidence. Bush squandered the US credibility. Our foes didn't fear him, they attacked us within months of him taking office. Our allies left us in Iraq while their citizens were burning US flags and pictures of president Bush. I read a news report just the other day from the 90's that said Iran would have nuclear weapons within a year. Look how well that turned out.
  7. And what would that make the foreign policy of Bush? A 12 year old that didn't get enough hugs? What about the foreign policy of the 3 neocons running against Obama? I am talking about the ones salivating over a chance to go to war with Iran. You know the 3 with no military experience, 2 of which were eligible for the draft during Vietnam. A 12 year old who had an uncle with boundary issues? Whether Obama wins or not, we are screwed.
  8. Murder is not dealt with on the federal level, it is a state crime. That is the point RP is trying to make. Murder laws are different state to state. In some states you have committed the crime of murder if you shoot and kill someone that kicks in your door while you are sitting on your couch. Some states have castle doctrine laws. And if it works for murder then it can work for abortion, which many see as a form of murder.
  9. Never built a mauser before but I have an action that has been sitting around for years. I have been studying it a lot lately and and have no intention on this being done any time soon but I was just wondering what y'all have done. I wanted to start working on mausers a few years ago but school came along and it got put pretty far at the back of my list of priorities. I guess I am curious to see what the average Joe has done.
  10. So who here have bigger medium bores and large bores on Mauser actions? I want to hear about .375 H&H and up. Surely there are some .416 Rigbys and .458 Lotts around here. I read a few pages back about a 375 H&H and about a 416 Taylor. Nice reads but I am just wondering what else has been done around here.
  11. How much do these schools cost?
  12. I too will be voting for RP even if he is not on the ballot. The first time I ever voted it was for Mccain. I regretted it when I did it, it didn't like him. When he lost I fell like it was a waste of a vote, I could have voted for a 3rd party that I actually liked, or wrote in, but I didn't. Now I will not vote for a candidate that I don't like just because I don't like the other guy more. Am I throwing away a vote? No election has been decided by one vote, and no election has been decided by my state so I guess I am throwing it away no matter who I vote for. Many people are saying RP will be a spoiler if he doesn't win the nomination, well if you are that concerned with beating Obama at all costs then I would suggest to all republicans to vote for RP in the primaries.
  13. I don't think so, I am sure those 3 places have a split vote, as it is now the states of California, New York, a Illinois already account for about 1/5th of the votes. And with the electoral college, if 49% of the population votes for A and 51% for B, then all of the 104 votes go to B. If a candidate gets 51% in the 11 largest states, they win the election. Even if 100% in the other 39 states votes for the other guy. It was designed to be a scam, the founding fathers wanted liberty and democracy, but they didn't trust the average citizen. The whole point was to have congress decide who will be the president and vice president, and remember only half of congress was voted on by the people at the time.
