  1. http://www.gunsamerica.com/blog/a-warning-to-all-gun-bloggers-and-forums-boston-marathon-explosions/ This explains why I see some of the most bizarre pro gun arguments in the comments sections of news stories. I had already suspected as much. It's also why I don't get my news from CNN. Objectivity is gone and there are never any news stories from sources with an opposing viewpoint. The Eloi are enthralled. Even people I know, very smart people too, are enamored with the dictator wannabe.
  2. It's good to keep it limited to members for viewing. If using a digital camera I would also remove any gps data.
  3. I saw it earlier on my Facebook page from one of my friends. Or maybe it was from having likes related to Star Trek actors. George Takei I believe. Gave me quite a laugh. Now I'm going to go listen to It Was a Very Good Year by William Shatner...
  4. Mouse and keyboard... http://m.youtube.com/#/watch?v=v9kTVZiJ3Uc&desktop_uri=%2Fwatch%3Fv%3Dv9kTVZiJ3Uc
  5. $1200 to get a computer fixed? I'm having a lot of difficulty wrapping my mind around that number. I'd find someone else to check that pc for a hidden vnc server or similar if I was that friend. I have 2 IBM blade servers I need to get busy with when I get back home. I have some scsi hard drives I picked up off of newegg to put in them. The fun part is getting the bios to see them properly and having them jumpered correctly. Boxes of memory sticks, even a few matching sets of rambus and a Gateway server that uses it. Two 6 foot long shelves in the shop with AT and ATX cases, power supplies I need to open and replace bad capacitors in, LCD monitors I already rescued. Someday I'll get a Beowulf cluster together and running. I need to run network cable out to one detached garage and up the hill to the shop. Fedora is definitely a preferred Linux distro, hats off for choosing that one pardon the pun. Sometimes in real life I will make a request out loud like "Sudo give me a winning lottery ticket". I guess I need to get the password for super user right though. Pardon me for carrying on. Sort of making a list of things to do, to get me motivated to get this job done and get back home.
  6. I meant the slide and frame. Grips I can handle no pun intended. But ya got me Heh.
  7. No plastic there. Very nice. Looks like it's got a lot of history. I like that it's not to shiny. Gun show will be here at the Lane County Fairgrounds April 13. I'm hoping to be able to go just for the eye candy.
  8. Great deal for 350$. I was looking at that before I went to sleep, after enviously gazing upon that beauty. Congratulations.
  9. Now if they could only do a movie where Bruce Cambell could use that line. Would have been great in Jack of All Trades.
  10. Any other links to that video Karl? It's been removed already.
  11. Not sure how to link a video from Hulu. Night and Fog from the Criterion Collection is on there.
  12. Nope can't re up. I'd need 20 years to retire at 62
  13. Can I go to a VA hospital? My separation date was 31 August 1987. Actually thinking of re enlisting before I turn 62. I loathe the thought of being the platoon leader if I do basic again. I like the idea of making someone with a profile, trying to get out of fire guard, go explain it to the drill on CQ.
  14. I did like how Jesse had the audience be the judge near the end. Piers seemed a little miffed since he wanted to be the one declaring views opposite his own to be facile. That opening image is as powerful as the lone man blocking the tank in Tiananmen Square. I'd like both on a t shirt.
  15. Working on the doctor appointment. Don't smoke, haven't had coffee in over a week. I got two days of work done at the house here putting felt down between the subfloor. Today I moved stuff out of the living room to lay the felt down there and get the particle board done. I felt to drained to do anything after that but I'm still kicking. The advice is good and I thank you for it. I've been leery of going to a doctor mostly because I can't afford it and also because I don't like anyone touching me. I don't really want to go to a VA hospital. Just tired and glad I know it's not my fault.
