Fellas.
My Mas 36 has a rear sight that is drilled off center the peep hole is to the right.
The French made 24 different rear sights. N = center..D = right G = left.
Now not having or knowing where to find the proper rear sight, I was thinking of enlarging the peep hole and fitting a metal disk over it with the hole drilled in the proper place.
I was thinking of starting with a few cardboard disks, shoot and adjust.
What do you fellas think?

I fixed it.
I figured that calling France for the part or asking the folks at GPC to "hand select" one, IF they had one, would take too long and cost too much.
So. I drilled and filed the hole to center it and glued a very small washer over the widened peep hole.
I will give it a try on Thursday....I was going to the range tomorrow but the "tea party" is more important.

It worked.
The point of impact is now only a inch or so to the left at 100 meters but I can adjust for that.

Nice fix, karl!
Any evidence of damage from being dropped (with the help of the forward-angled bolt handle)?
I'd really like to acquire one of those, I just haven't run across one at the right time.
