I bought a second hand Dixie 1858 that looks pretty old, and it doesn't look like Uberti. Here is some information on nipple thread sizes:

If the gun was manufactured by Uberti then it might
use a 5.5mm X 9 nipple which would be our stock number NP2040 $3.50. If
manufactured by Pietta or someone else then it might use a 6mm X .75 nipple
stock number NP1355 $3.50.
