Well Guys, The price isn't getting any better on Mil-Surp guns. Even the M-N's have doubled in price within the last year. I just picked up a couple of Steyr M-95 carbines. They went from about 70 to 110 dollars in the last 6 months. So me and Tanglewood are gonna build a couple of 45.70 bear guns. I think the only problem will be overcoming the enblock issue to allow single cartridge loading. This too as well as cartridge angle will be overcome. I am sure someone out there has already been there or/or done that. Free passing of information and ideas is what makes it all happen! As I am recouping from hip replacement, I am waiting with baited breath to hear what you have to say

I have a M95 that was re-barreled to 44 mag single shot. I just got done reaming it up to a 445 super mag. Initial load development shows a 240 gr jhp velocities between 1950 to 2240 fps using starting load to close to max load of h110.

A guy on another site has come up with his own big bore wildcat using the 7.62x54R case, he calls it a .405 Grenadier, which is basically 7.62x54R blown out like an Ackley and necked to .411". To me it looks very interesting, as not much feed work to be done on the M-N's.
