Wow, just before Christmas I sold an entire 24/47 that I bought for $109 for $350. Fortunately for me I sold it just before the latest batch of them hit the market. Well that and mine looked like it was made last week.
How much shorter is the 24/47 action than a standard 98?

The 24's & 48's are 7&5/8" from hole to hole, while the standard size are 7&7/8's. the m24/47's are some of the finest guns, in terms of fit & finish, as you can get. Plus, with the exception of a few, most have been in storage their entire existance. The only draw back is the shorter receiver length makes building in popular longer calibers (any -06 case family) very difficult.
I've built a beutiful 308 off one, & I've often wanted to build a 243 on one.

If you buy from Sarco, based on my recent experience, I suggest phoning in your order, and then don't get in any hurry. I think it took me 6 weeks and a dozen phone calls to get a stock from them when I ordered online.
