Ejection Problems With My Pph 380

I have had this Hungarian PPH in 380 since 85.
Almost never a problem BUT
When I cleaned and reassembled it tonight, it had problems ejecting.
I tried three different mags and putting 6 rounds in the mag ...same problem.
The extractor looks good but ....I will get new parts from Gun part if they have them, just in case still...

I am reduced to carrying the Hippy's .38 5 shot.

Any Ideas?

I was thinking of getting a new 1911..now it looks like it will be a much smaller pocket pistol.
Any good ideas for a good small 9mm for about 350 or so?

It is one thing to have the pistol have problems on the range...but another for a carry pistol.
Very annoyed

Sorry can't give you any advice on a fix for the PPH. If you're looking for a bargain carry gun check out the CZ 82. It is chambered in 9MM Makarov and comes with a 12rd double stack mag. Not a real 9MM in the sense of 9MM Luger but it has more oomph than a 380 and Hornady is now making +P HP's for the 9MM Mak. If the CZ's still come with the issue holster. The holster looks more like something a janitor would carry a tool in. I got mine a few years ago before the crunch from J&G for under 200. I bought two but have already traded one away. My CZ is often in my SUV's center console and I can carry it in my baggy shorts without printing. Mine has never jammed. I've shot cheapie steel cased and numerous reloads with home cast bullet loaded in trimmed 9MM Luger brass. Never as much as a hick-up. Whomever claims cast lead can not be used in Poly rifleing is wrong as I've shot hundreds. Incidentally the CZ's barrel is chrome lined.

EDIT: The video is wrong, it is not "all steel". The frame is an unknown metallic alloy, not plastic and it is painted with black enamel. The slide as best I can tell is indeed blued steel.

Thanks Az.

An old guy told me that the PPH type pistol was not made to eject full rounds but fired cases only.

So I will pick up a box or two of .380 from Walmart and the range before I decide.

If "Attila", he was made in Hungry, can do 100 rounds with no problem, I am OK.

The key to using a military pistol for self defense is its ability to reliably fire and function modern expanding bullets. 380 FMJ's ok for punching paper. Against a bad guy FMJ's marginal at best except 45ACP. Nobody likes a hole in their body oozing blood and normally anybody with at least 3/4 of a brain would retreat even if shot even with a 22 short. Today's bad guy though could be high on drugs and might not even feel any pain.
