German Sports Group M1911 Conversion Any Good?

Can't speak of the particular brand. Years ago I had a 1911 22 conversion that was total garbage. The company folded and I couldn't get a replacement extractor without paying way to much to have one made by a gunsmith. Before investing into a conversion you might want to check out the Chiappa 22Rf 1911's. I bought one a few years ago for my son and it was in the low 200 range and came with 3 mags. After the 100 rd break-in don't recall a stoppage since.

Not knowing anything about the conversion you posted I can't speak on its reliability. I do know that in over 30 years of shooting and associations with numerous other shooters. I've never known anybody satisfied with a 1911 22 RF conversion including one friend that had one that was used by the USAF. I suggest you check out buying one of the 1911 22RF copy-cats if they are in the same price range.

I know that "got have it" feeling. At times I almost feel like my gun collection is more of an addiction than a collection. I have guns I have not fired in well over 20 years but I refuse to part company with them. Guess my collection will become part of my kid's inheritance.

Hello Az.

"I refuse to part company with them."

Az.

Me too.

Example? The only place to shoot BP is a three hour round trip. I have not shot them since I left Cali.

I still will not part with the charcoal burners.

Got rifles I don't even have ammo for but ...

What the heck...it keeps us out of trouble. : )
