From Dutch 17 Y/o Exchange Student

Yup, Saterday San Antoon will be on the scheduele, I am seriously looking forwar to it and I better hope I have a good day. Because two or three misses work very demoralising, I hope I can get a medal, that would look neat on my uniform.

 

I would love to go out shooting with you, I warn you, all I ever shot was air guns, but those are on targets with a inch and a half as diameter from 11 yards, so I think it will definately make a difference. Hehehe, plus I just want to see the faces of my family and friends in Holland, were weaposn are a complete taboo.

 

I read the article. As soon after this happened, I read my daily Dutch newspapers (With all do respect, but with the little half page of international and economic news from the Killeen Daily Herald I am goign to die) The reactions are pretty much the same, crazy America, more guns than people, blind patriots etc.

 

Offcourse it has a small truth in it, because these two guns were legally bought once, a long long time ago, the shooter had bought them illigal I guess, because the registration numbers were scraped out,

 

But on the other end, we have shootings in Holland to. Once a sicko just has a plan like this in his mind, no one can stop in. And yes, it might take a little longer in Europe, but you will end up with a gun as well. The police in France found freaking AK's, when they were busting up some crackhouses during the riots in Paris, I think you will never be able to solve the problem, by just taking all the guns away.

 

I have been defending this point for years now, and yup, they think I am a nut back home. Esspecially because I always wanted to join the Airforce, my mom has always been concerned about me. I can allmost proudly call myself a Dutch Republican (Which would proberly be a very left American socialist ), yes we have Republicans in Holland, but they don't support the Queen, and I do.
