karlunity
Fellas. I have been playing around with Linux OS systems for a while. I restore donated computers and issue them to the kids. Now most folks give them to me with the understanding that I will remove all their personal data before I reissue the computer or they F-Disk the HD before they give me the computer. Since the students who I give these to cannot in most cases afford to buy "Windows" OS, I started to use Linux. This was not always easy as some kids had a learning problem with it, (not as many as you might think, it is amazing how fast kids figure computers out.) Fedora 7 has saved the day. It is as easy to use as XP after a few minutes of instruction and it is free!! I have a couple of Copies left over if any of you want to try it. The only thing you need is a DVD drive on your computer. You can put this on a blank HD or piggy back it on your windows OS if you have about 10 gigs of free space.
