karlunity Posted June 27, 2009 Report Share Posted June 27, 2009 Rifles 91/30 and .58 ZOUAVE. The Zouave was new so I shot it first. I was only able to fire 6 rounds of mini ball as the bore became too fouled to allow reloading. Still the group at 50 meters was two inches, that did not look good to me but the black powder guys said it was surprising, consiteting that I haad not shot the the rifle before. I am going to try .570 round shot next, the book calls for .575 but no-one carries it. Tbe 91/30 held in the black of an NRA small bore target at 100 meters so all in all a good day. karl Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
724wd Posted June 27, 2009 Report Share Posted June 27, 2009 sounds like fun! i'm going to try to hit the range on monday with my neighbor (if i can play hooky from work). i need to shoot my AR-15 (just joined the upper and lower) and sako browning 22-250 (just mounted the scope after 10 years). maybe a little .40 SW if there's time to get my Kahr shooting where it should.
