FC
Rush is completely right. Are the cities and states that are boycotting Arizona going to boycott Mexico for their policies? I'm so fed up with this bunch in power I can't stand it!
AzRednek
Be hard to do at least here in Arizona with the majority of our fresh produce coming from Mexico. It is also hauled up north in refrigerated box cars to the biggies that can and freeze it. When I was traveling to Nogales weekly a few years ago for dental work. I used to see mile long trains hauling everything from lettuce, to cantaloupe. I saw one long train with numerous open top box cars loaded with just tomatoes. It appeared and I could be wrong because I was seeing it from a distance. It looked like the tomotoes were packed with ice. I wonder how clean the water was used to make the ice. Since seeing the long produce trains I'm nearly obsessive about the way I rinse vegetables and fruit. I'm no fan of EPA or the USDA or any of the other federal agencies involved with agriculture. At least here in the USA there is some control through regulations, compliance testing and watch dogs that control the type of fertilizers and pesticides used on crops. I'm sure the Mexican farmers like any USA business man wants to deliver quality products and make what is now since Obama's election a profane word, a profit. If the Mexican farmer could save $100 per acre using a pesticide prohibited the the USA. He would likely take advantage of it.
FC
It was really a philosophical argument. If our betters want to boycott AZ, they would, of course want to be fair and boycott Mexico, right? Not hardly!
Dr.Hess
Look at the numbers. One number was 2.x billion dollars in costs from the illegals in AZ. That's a net loss. Now, how much net income is AZ loosing from any boycott from San Diego, San Francisco or some Detroit school? If you said five million dollars, you'd probably be stretching it. Even if it was 100 million, AZ would still be 2.x-.1 billion dollars ahead without the illegals. Let them boycott all they want. GO ARIZONA!!
